North Murcia is a beautiful peaceful corner of Murcia, bordering both the Alicante and Albacete provinces.
The area is largely unspoilt and has few tourist facilities.
It has lovely mountain ranges and pretty green valleys, often planted with wine grapes, fruit trees or almonds.
There are only two significant towns, Yecla and Jumilla, the former specialising in furniture manufacture.
The rest of the area is quite rural, and being slightly further from the coast, far less visited than many more well known areas of Alicante and Murcia.
There are two major golf developments in the Jumilla area under construction. No further major development is
known.
