A popular and well-established course (created in 1997) located in the
hills close to Orito, and enjoying both mountain and sea views.
The course itself is varied and interesting, with gentle fairways and
angled greens demanding good putting.
The course has two distinct characters with the front nine being longer
wide holes protected by trees, and the back nine being tighter and more exposed requiring greater accuracy.
A slightly easier and more compact course, favouring the accurate player
and with a trick in the tail with the tough 16th and 18th holes waiting to spoil the best of rounds.
The thing that really distinguishes Alenda is the greens. Those with a
good short game, especially golfers able to read greens and putt well will find Alenda easier than those who struggle on the green. The gradients, which demand the best eye to read the break,
also allow for variation in hole position, keeping the experience fresh for regulars.
